Thank you for your letter. I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you I enclose a copy of the despatch of the 27th ・une.
I have yet to digest this and as soon as I have done so will try and fix up
an appointment with you.
I have .however ,asked Mathesons to ascertain from Hongkong upon what bażis the properties of the late ir "obert Jardine
t the Peak were valued on his death as I think this should effectually dispose of the contention in the memorandum of the
Financial Secretary on page five.
As soon as am in a position to do so I will write to you again.
